After working over 40 years I took a step back in 2022 and decided to focus on myself and my family.
A native of Orange County, California, I started working as a kid at my parent’s business. They owned and operated the world famous Mott’s Miniatures Museum. From 1958 to 1992 it was located inside Knott’s Berry Farm, a regional amusement park located a few minutes from Disneyland.
At the age of 17 I signed up for 6 years in the US Navy Reserve, intent on a military career. But life happens. I ended up a civilian after that, going to college and working various jobs, and continuing to help the family with their business part-time. At times I even ventured into entrepreneurship on my own, starting a business or two and selling them off when the time was right.
Life continued, which included being a husband and father. Greatest accomplishment of my life is my son. Due to the needs of the family I ended up taking over their business and running it for many years. Family first.
Shortly after 9/11 I chose to return to military service in California, completing eight more years. After this I ended up in the corporate world, working as a licensed real estate agent for a nation wide property management firm in their repair and construction department.
From there I was recruited to work for a multi-state commercial construction and facilities maintenance company. By this time my son had graduated college, marries, completed nine years of military service, and become a father himself.
